Floods can be devastating. Depending on the severity, flood victims might lose everything they have: their homes, their jobs, even their loved ones. Whether it’s donating a riyal or volunteering to rebuild damaged houses, there are a several ways to lend a helping hand to those in needs. Floods result in breaches of bunds, inundation of river- banks, sweeping away of roads, rail-lines, bridges, collapse of buildings, houses, and wide-spread destruction of standing crops over very large areas. In towns and cities, sewers back flow into streets and houses. Business, traffic, all activity virtually come to a standstill, and there is chaos and destruction all around. The poor and the weaker sections of the society suffer the most in floods. They are deprived of their huts, houses, meager belongings, cattle and crops. In such a situation army troops are pressed into service to help the flood-victims. Other paramilitary forces, too, are deployed to help the authorities in the relief and rescue-operations. Food, medicines and water- packets are then dropped from the helicopters to the marooned people. In spite of these measures, hundreds of people lose their life; still many more people suffer serious injuries. Thus, floods claim many lives and destroy property on a large scale. All the rivers of these states are flowing much higher above their danger marks. OPVGR always play our role to support our citizens in Pakistan . An earthquake (also known as a quake, tremor or temblor) is the perceptible shaking of the surface of the Earth. Earthquakes can be violent enough to toss people around and destroy whole cities. Many times, the people who support a family socially and economically, dies. This causes most of the other members of the family to either fight their way through, or restart their lives from the bottom of the food-chain.
If the members of the family survive, then they could still be short of a home. The earthquake would have caused the destruction of their house and because of that, they would be left homeless.
In the aftermath of an earthquake, people see weather all the pipelines, roads etc are in good shape or order. If the pipes are broken, then water scarcity begins. If the roads are broken, then food supplies cannot be transported, later causing problems in food scarcity.
With inadequate supply of electricity, the debris and rubble will take a lot of time to remove and if people are under it, then they may die before the rubble is removed. On the other hand, if it is at night and they postpone the work for the day, then overnight the death toll will increase significantly.
